ANGRY ORCHARD CRISP DONUT HOLE RECIPE
Yield: 160 each ½ oz. donut holes
Prep Time: 10 minutes
• 2 cups cinnamon, ground
• 3 quarts granulated sugar
• 6 ¼ cups self-rising flour
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 2 tbsp cinnamon
• 8 eggs, beaten
• 3 cups apple pie filling, lightly chopped
• 1 cup of Angry Orchard Crisp
•Angry Orchard Caramel Sauce, as desired (next slide)
1. Preheat fryer to 350F
2. Cinnamon sugar: in a large bowl combine the ground cinnamon and granulated sugar. Reserve until ready to use.
3. Donut holes: in a mixing bowl, thoroughly mix the dry ingredients before combining them with the wet ingredients.
4. Use a ½ oz. portion scoop to form small donuts before dropping them into the fryer
5. To serve: fry the donut holes for 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked throughout.
6. Toss in cinnamon sugar and serve with a side of Angry Orchard Caramel.
•If not using self-rising flour, add 1 ½ tps of baking powder per cup of flour.
•The dry mix can be produced in bulk and kept on hand to speed production during prep days. Batter can be frozen in small portions if necessary.
